6. St. Cecilia’s cathedral
When it comes to attractions in Omaha, St. Cecilia’s Cathedral is actually impressive. St. Cecilia’s is a really lovely Spanish Renaissance-style cathedral featuring with about impressive 222’ tall spires. Since 1905, it ranked in the top 10 largest cathedrals in the U.S. as it was finished and occupies a place on the National Register of Historic Places. The stained-glass windows came from a 16th century cathedral in Spain, the marble altar hails from Italy and the pulpit is hand-carved mahogany. It is much like a taste of great cathedrals of Europe, with no long flight!
