Lunges may be the stuff of your nightmares in high school, yet they are very effective in toning and defining the legs. Start by standing with the feet together and the arms at your sides. Then, step forward with one of your feet, start slowly lowering the body till the knees reach a 90-degree angle. You should keep this position for a few seconds before returning to the starting point. Repeat the move with the other leg. With this exercise, you can practice while waiting for the flat iron to heat up or waiting for the children to find their coats or shoes before going to school.
